Brighton: Died peacefully in her 104th year of life on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Sister Eileen, a Sister of Mercy for 82 years, taught in schools in the Diocese of Rochester for close to 50 years, spending 30 of those years in Elmira. Known for her infectious smile and her Irish wit, Sister Eileen was loved by all. She was predeceased by her niece, S. Barbara Weyand RSM and is survived by many nieces, nephews, including S. Veronica Casey RSM and her sisters in community.

Friends are welcome at Mercy Center (1437 Blossom Rd.) on Tuesday from 4-7pm followed by a Vigil Service at 7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10am at the Mercy Center. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Sisters of Mercy
