Obituary for John M. Wesp
Canandaigua: March 26, 2016 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his wife Chalice; daughter, Mary (Tootsie) (Danny) Wood. He leaves his daughters, Sue (Guy) Snyder, Sally (John Hart) Naber; granddaughter, Tracy (Daniel); grandsons, Chris, Gary; step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Richard Wesp; nieces, Linda, Patty (Bill), Lori; great nieces and nephews.
John was a veteran of WWII serving his country from 1942-45, belonging to the 17th Airborne Division Regiment 513 Parachute Infantry, 3rd Battalian HQ Company. The family would like to thank the staff at the Canandaigua VA Hospital Building 8A for their compassionate , dedicated, and loving care during his stay.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 23 at 1pm in the chapel of John M. Hedges Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. (just north of East Ridge Rd.) Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canandaigua VA Hospital 400 Fort Hill Ave. Canandaigua, NY 14424 in John's memory.
