Obituary for Eileen Drew Platten
Rochester: Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the age of 100. Predeceased by husbands, George Mack and John Platten; sons, Philip and John Platten. Survived by her children, Eugene (Patricia) Mack, George (Gail) Mack, Edward (Elaine) McNamara, Daniel Platten, Denis Platten and Marie Platten; grandchildren, Erin (Aaron) Mooney, Sean (Anna) McNamara, Joseph (Karyllan) Mack, James (Jennifer) Mack, David (Kate) Mack and Sharon Elizabeth Mack; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Sr. Edward Joseph Murphy SSJ of Brentwood, NY. Eileen was very active with her church including a member of the Legion of Mary, eucharistic minister and taught Catholic Christian Doctrine for many years.
Friends are welcome Friday 4-8pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home Inc. 1717 Portland Ave. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11am at St. Kateri at Christ the King Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
