Obituary for Joseph T. Sullivan
Pulteney: Sunday, September 4, 2016 at age 69. Predeceased by his parents Walter B. and Ruth Barnes Sullivan; three brothers, Walter Jr., Thomas, and James; aunt, Kathryn Barnes Holyer; uncle, Milan D. Barnes. Survived by his daughter, Gavin Sullivan (London, England); sister, Sr. Mary Sullivan RSM; former wife, Diane Sullivan; many, many, close, longstanding friends in Rochester and Steuben County. He is also survived by many Sullivan and Barnes nieces, nephews , and cousins. Joe was a superb self-employed builder, an avid reader, a lover of contemporary music, a loving family member and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17 at 4pm at the Sisters of Mercy Center, 1437 Blossom Rd. followed by a reception there for friends and family. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to remember Joe by a donation to the Environmental Defense Fund, the Sisters of Mercy Focus on Haiti Fund, or another charity of your choice related to Joe's interests.
