Obituary for Louis T. Piazza

Pittsford: Sunday, October 30, 2016. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Anna Piazza; wife, Maime. Survived by his daughter, Suzanne (Thomas) Puleo; his son, Anthony (Marigrace) Piazza, Esq.; grandchildren, Thomas Puleo III, Adam Puleo, Elise (Catalin Iordan, PhD) Piazza, PhD, and Nina Piazza; brother, Dominic (June) Piazza; sister, Ruth Galante; as well as many loved nieces and nephews; also survived by his companion, Rose Amico. Lou was a 1944 graduate of Aquinas Institute as well as a 1952 graduate of RIT. He was a staff sergeant in the US Army during WWII ETO. Lou was founder of Luanco Kitchens, founder of Eastridge Kiwanis in 1972, during which he served as distinguished Lt. Governor from '76-77. Lou was an avid dancer, golfer, and jazz enthusiast. Lou was involved with Bishop Kearney parents groups and musicals. In 1948 he married the love of his life, Maime Tripi. He belonged to the British American Dance Club and Rochester Dance and Eagles. Lou made a second career as a Commercial Real Estate Broker.


Friends are welcome Friday 4-8pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home Inc. 1717 Portland Ave. Lou's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:30am at St. John's of Rochester.
