Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elizabeth Maher can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Elizabeth B. "Betty"  Maher
Irondequoit: Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Predeceased by her husband, Richard and sister, Mary Jane Berry. Survived by her sons, Alan Maher of Phoenix,AZ and John Maher of Rochester; grandchildren, Alana Salisbury and David (Kimberly) Maher of AZ; great-grandchildren, Tanner and Chase Maher, and Robert Salisbury; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Larry) Freitas and Susan Maher; nieces and nephews. Betty was a volunteer at the American Red Cross for 25 years and served on many committees at St. Cecilia Church.

Friends are welcome Sunday 2-5:30pm at the John M. Hedges Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Betty's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 9:30am at St. Kateri at St. Cecilia Church. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to the church or to the American Red Cross Rochester Chapter.
