Arthur W.  Mustico
Irondequoit: Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the age of 59 peacefully with Christie and Gus by his side at the Sunset House. Predeceased by his parents, Carl and Arlene "Buzzy" Mustico; and brother Lando. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Christie Mustico; son, James of Portland, OR; daughter, Johanna of Buffalo, NY; siblings, Joseph (Tracy) Mustico, Gina Mustico, Carl (Michelle) Mustico, John (Ann) Mustico, and Marty (Rhonda) Whitford of Elmira, NY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including cousins Drs. Kathy and Eric Southard.
Art was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy and Alfred University. He received a degree in ceramic engineering and was employed at Kodak, ITT Industries, Exelis, and Harris Corp. over the past 35 years. A resident of Irondequoit, Art could be seen tooling around in his baby blue VW bug, fishing in the bay, working around the yard, and then relaxing with a craft beer at Johnny's Irish Pub. He also enjoyed playing trumpet in many bands, including the Irondequoit Concert Band, Prime Time Brass, and the AQ and BK alumni bands.
Friends are welcome Monday 3-8pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home Inc. 1717 Portland Ave. Art's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10am at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunset House, addingcandles.com, Peace of Christ Parish, or a charity of your choice.
