Condolence From: Jerry Connor
Condolence: Doug and I were in the same class at McQuaid and graduated together. So sad to hear of his passing. I really liked and respected him. All his class mates did. The last time I saw him was in the 93rd Replacement Center Frankfurt Germay in 66'. After being stuck on 2 days of KP I was in the parade field for my orders and here comes Doug. So glad to see him, however brief. All that has been written about him and the person and life he led confirms my belief he was a righteous human being. God Bless him and his family. Great Guy.

Condolence From: John and Sandy Lederman
Condolence: To Anne and all of Doug's family, John and I were stunned to hear of Douglas' passing. We live in Maine now, and have for the last 9 years, or we would be at his service in person. It is very hard to start losing friends you've had your whole lives. I used to love dropping over to the apartment on Lake Avenue when John and I were first dating and visiting with Doug. He gave me my first motorcycle ride, took me to the movies to see The Graduate, and hung out with me at McGreal's some evenings. As a child I remember tromping through Durand Eastman park with him and all the other neighborhood kids, and walking by his house on the way to swim in the lake. Our hearts go out to all of you, from Sandy and John Lederman, Doug's old roommate.

Condolence: The Kremers are like family to us. There weren't too many family get togethers that they weren't at. You always knew they were there because you could hear Doug's laugh from the other room and my sister and I would look at each other and say "The Kremers are here!" and we would run down the stairs to fetch their girls and play. Such fond, fond memories of picnics and parties on The Bay. Doug was a kind and sweet guy. He will be missed, especially by my Dad, Mike. Sending our sincere condolences to Anne, the girls and the grand kids. We love you all.
