John F. "Jack"  Kennelly
Irondequoit: Tuesday March 13, 2018 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret; sister, Kathleen. Survived by his wife of 73 years, Rita; children, Karen (Tim) Bancroft, Tom (Mary Cay), Dennis (Teresa); grandchildren, Sheila, Lisa, Bryan, Jake, Erin, Josh, Sean, Ryan, and Margaret; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Daniel (Miriam) and Wally (Marilyn); nieces and nephews. Jack was a veteran of WWII, longtime employee of Gleason Works. He loved dancing, playing euchre and bridge, avid reader of non fiction. Jack was a eucharistic minister, usher, and member of the Men's Club at St. Margaret Mary Church. He was a creative inventor of "useful" gadgets. He was "always the life of the party." The family would like to give thanks to the 3rd floor staff at St. Ann's Home.

Friends are welcome Friday 4-7pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Jack's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11am in the chapel at St. Ann's Home. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ann's Foundation or a charity of your choice.
