Irondequoit: Peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rose Scheible; wife, Carol. Survived by his loving daughter, Joy (Jason) Komenski; grandson, Kayden; sister-in-law, Patricia Able; niece, Danielle Goforth; great niece and nephew, Haylee and Jaxon Fersaci; his beloved Cadillac XLR; his golfing Budweiser buddies and other family members.Butch was a veteran of the Vietnam War. "The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and team at the Lipson Cancer Center."

Friends are welcome to a Celebration of Life Monday 11am at the John M. Hedges Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Everyone who loved and laughed with Butch is invited to Pt. Pleasant Fire Department immediately after the service until the tap runs dry. Memorials may be directed to the Lipson Cancer Center or to Hildebrandt Hospice Care.
