Obituary for Frederick Carl Brightman
Irondequoit: September 16, 2016 at the age of 70. Predeceased by his parents, Nathan and Katherine Brightman; brother, Philip Brightman; niece, Kathleen Brightman. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Virginia Brightman; daughter, Jill Brightman (Smith); son, Frederick K. (Leslie) Brightman; grandchildren, Lukas and Tanner Brightman, and Carl Smith; brothers, Theodore (Marilyn) and Nathan (Sheila) Brightman; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Fred was a retiree of Gleason Works. He enjoyed fishing, cars, and was a proud owner of two harness racehorses. Fred was loved by everyone he touched.
Friends are welcome Wednesday 4-7pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home Inc. 1717 Portland Ave. where a Service will be held at 7pm. Interment will take place privately at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease or the Alzheimers Association.
