Obituary for Patricia Kelly (Murray)
Brighton: Patricia Murray Kelly died peacefully October 28, 2017 after a long illness. She was in her 80th year of life. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert P. and Sarah Carney Murray, her sister Rosemary and brother Robert M. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joseph G. Kelly, her sisters-in-law, Colleen (Mack) Spellecy and Sybil Baldwin Murray, her nieces Kateri (Matt) Osborne and Emily Murray, her nephew Kevin Murray and a large and loving extended family. Pat held a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College and used her considerable skills to help people at Badin Street Settlement, St. Mary’s Hospital and for more than 25 years in the Dialysis Unit at The Genesee Hospital.
Friends are welcome Wednesday, November 1 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home, 1717 Portland Avenue. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Mercy Center, 1437 Blossom Road. She will be buried at a later date in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Corning, NY. Donations may be made in her memory to the Sisters of Mercy, 1437 Blossom Road, Rochester, NY 14610.
