Obituary for Douglas P. Kremer

Douglas P. Kremer
He sadly left us on February 18, 2018, at the age of 71. He was the third child born to Rita and Joe Kremer on October 30, 1946. His loving family mourns his sudden passing: his bride of 44 years, Anne (Gebhardt), daughters, Jennifer (Kevin), Erin (Ron) DeCamella, and Kathryn (Glendon) Shilling. Doug was beloved by all who knew him. His devotion and love for Anne is unparalleled. His grandchildren, Evan, Gianna, Isabelle, Alaina, Charlie, Riley and Addy saw him as their superhero…he could do anything. He was a true gentleman with a hero’s heart, a friend whose loyalty knew no boundaries. A humble heart, an unforgettable smile and great hair….he loved all. He was an adopted father and Papa to his Forest Hills family…all who cherished him as their own. He had a special place in his heart for nature’s creatures, the Buffalo Bills, and “Catholic” get togethers. He loved traveling adventures with Anne and his dear Gracie. His passions include spending time with his grandchildren, riding his Harley, golfing at Victor Hills, the Wednesday breakfast club with the bus buddies, cherished friends and Manhattans. He enjoyed reminiscing with his sister Jeanne Soleille, his yearly fishing trips with his brothers, Lance (Karen), and Dick (Pat Yates) and his cousin Jeff (Joan) Lovell. He faithfully cheered the Bills throughout the years with Anne’s family, John/Josie and Charlie/Ely Gebhardt and Mary Walsh/Bob Berkman.
His career path took him from managing John M Hedges Funeral home, to Universal Liquor Co, and in retirement he proudly drove school bus for Pittsford schools where he loved seeing his “little smiling faces”.

Friends and family will be received Friday, February 23rd from 5 to 8 PM at the John M. Hedges Funeral Home, 1717 Portland Ave, Irondequoit NY. Doug's Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 24th at 10 am at Chapel Hill, 8 Prince St. Rochester, NY. If you wish, donations can be made in Doug’s name to St. Monica Church Youth Ministry, 34 Monica St., Rochester, NY 14619.
