My Dad was a passionate man.. He loved his huge family in Canada, cherished my mother Evie, drove his 4 children crazy and adored his grandkids. He loved to paint houses and work in his garden Euachaure was his favorite card game (but we think he cheated!) He was a very social man who loved to keep busy. Even after dementia took hold, he had the cleanest room in the nursing home!
He would regal us with his stories of down home, growing up and working on his parents farm, lumberjacking with the Indians and moving to Totonto and NY to start a new life. He loved country music and Buddy Holly. He would always be the first one to ask if you wanted to dance when we attended weddings. He was a sharp dresser who was always proud to have Evie on his arm.
My dad adpoted my brother David and I when we were very young and took care of us for many years. It was my privalge to take care of him these last 4. I miss you Dad and so grateful God took you quickly after your stroke. I feel better now knowing you've been reunited with Mom.
Love,
Pam-la
